Anyways the bottom line is: never promise something that is impossible to deliver. Everything is about trust.
In the mean time ETH is around 300USD while Vitastick promised a year ago the network could do 1000's of trasnfers per second. yeah, it's all about trust indeed.
About a year ago Ethereum's founder Vitalik Buterin claimed to have solved the scalability issue. He talked about thousands of transactions a second with "unlimited sharding". Now, a year later there's still nothing and it will only take a few popular crowdsales and 1 active Dapp before Ethereum dies under it's own weight.
