If bitcoin indeed fails there will be no point in hoarding bitcoin, just like there is no point in hoarding 1000s of already dead and rotten altcoins.

Times are changing.
Take a look how fast we adopt new technologies right now compared to the 60's or 70'.
If bitcoin will have to go through a couple of decades... it ain't gonna happen in a century.
