There is no info regarding any hardfork, segwit2x will be activated on august first week which is not a hardfork.

If there will be split, chain/coin with minority hashpower will have way lower price than bitcoin when listed.

You can buy more bitcoin, if there will be split you will get coins in both chains but don't forget to store those bitcoin in address which is under your control (you have their private keys).
