It should be *fine* on a VM and with seeds/private keys that are no longer used on BTC.Are there any safe ways to claim BCC while keeping your current private keys usable safely? Most of my BTC was in my vanity address, which I would prefer to keep.
An offline signed transaction, broadcasted from another computer whilst also moving any balance (if existing currently) away from the BTC address (temporarily obviously) should be *safe enough* I believe.
