You can use spmod3 or spmod 5, it can seach easily with google, but im sure spmod 3 is better now !

I've not got on with spmod3 on either of my mining setups. I'm currently using spmod1 on both, giving me a very similar hash rate; about 6-7% lower power consumption and cards run at a lower temperature. In fact, on my 1070 spmod3 runs something like 8-10 degrees higher but only gain less than half a MH. I also had spmod3 freeze up within half an hour of me going to sleep one night, so lost a whole night's mining in an attempt to get an extra 2% out of my MH.

I have been running spmod3 for two weeks without any problems, Doing 53Mh On 1080ti and 20Mh on Nvidia 1060. 100% TDP mem -500 and 150 core . It can be a number of things causing your system to lock up from to high oc, driver etc.
