Who said that it is not profitable? Short trading is one of the trading ways which is profitable if its perfectly done but somehow this trading way is really very a risky thing to do and it does really need experience and skills in able for you to be profitable.Just like in my situation on where i dont have much idea on trading actively i do lose up money until i do practice and practice until i got my trading way.

Many people do short trading, and this is a job for many people. It is profitable that is why people choose this method. Long term trading and all just like an investment. In trading, if anyone makes a good amount means that comes from this short trading method. This trading, not all people can do only the experts in trading can do and make money.
