When you develop application for WP you use UWP and it makes your app affordably in all windows 10 devices. So, this have some sense, I think. But, making UWP app have sense in case when you are going to provide your users uniqie expirience and possibilities comparet with web site.

ok, ok, tell it (what kind of uniqie expirience and possibilities) to millions of companies who decided not develop his app for Windows. P.S. But, I think this discussion is out of topic so let's close it here)
