This was explained by the global moderator In some post in the meta section.
It is because some threads which were inactive and contained lots of answers were trashed resulting to the drop in post count of people.

Solution to this : don't post on useless topics like ( when will Bitcoin reach 10 k USD and stuff) . These are spam threads where people only post and no-one reads
