It's me again. UPDATE: 2 of 5 Avalon 741 miners up and running just to learn. I tried 3 and basement became ridiculously hot, so I will wait until my wine closet is ready and properly ventilated before I get all 5 miners going. I'm now working on ventilation while I wait for the electrician. Basically, I will attach insulated duct work to all 5 miners. I will run those 5 ducts into a larger tube with a hurricane fan on top. The fan will push the hot air out of my house. I'm reluctant to use PVC as the "larger" tube because (from what I've read) it can deform at high levels of heat. Anyway, here are my questions:

2) For my "main tube" I was thinking of duct taping a bunch of y-joints together (http://www.homedepot.com/b/Heating-Venting-Cooling-HVAC-Parts-Accessories-Ducting-Venting-Transitions-Connectors-Wyes/N-5yc1vZc5hq) and then running my 5 insulated miner ducts to the y joints? Is this a good idea?

PVC has limited heat tolerance, which is why it's limited to use on COLD water distribution.
CPVC had much higher heat tolerance, it's rated to handle hot water - but it might STILL be marginal at the temps that come out of most miners today.

4000 CFM is severe overkill for 5 Avalon 741 units - something in the 1000-1500 CFM range would be PLENTY, unless you plan to add a LOT MORE MINERS to that space.
