Those are two different things.

Unemployment means somebody that has worked in the past, that has unemployment benefits, that has health insurance and has also contributed to the pension fund and is entitled for one. At least this is the case in my country.

Now your source of income can't be classified as a job.
You're not paying taxes (are you?), you are not contributing to those funds I mentioned and you're not entitled to any benefits.
It might work in a 3rd world country but in a civilized country you're almost dead without those.
The price for your health would be enormous without coverage and all you might be earning doing daily freelance jobs would evaporate in a matter of days.
