I don't think we are close to the end of this trend and it may take to the end of the year before we can see serious drop in price and market capitalization. Bitcoin holders are not not ready to sell of they coin for any altcoins currently and the altcoins seen to just been flipping coins and most also go back to bitcoin. The BTC mcap is now $128B, while most alts other than ETH and BCH (XRP is always ignored by me) are only a few $billion or less.
