Rapist for example shouldn't get the death penalty, they should get in jail forever and not like german jails, more like north korean jails or something.
Murders should get the death penalty but not just a shock. They should pay more for their actions tbh.

If due process is followed and people allowed to pursue all legal actions before being executed, executing criminals costs more than keeping them in jail until they die. If they can't do that, more innocent people would be executed by the state. And that already happens often enough.
