Well, in my point of view, I think that one of the reason is the "law of demand". Law of demand states that when quantity demand(quantity of a commodity or service that people are willing to buy at a certain price) goes up, the price go down or vice versa(quantity demand goes down, price go up). For example, the quantity demand is high(many people buy big amount of bitcoin) then its price will dramatically go down. But if there are only few people who buy big amount of bitcoins, then it's price will go up.

Yes, law of demand and supply really affect the price of bitcoin but the reason behind the triggers of law and demand is highly influenced by the news and other manipulative news targetting to make the bitcoin prices goes down so that some other big investors can go in when it is happening.
