sometimes quitting miner or a reboot fixes it but sometimes no matter what i do, it just wont connect.

There were some zcoin wallet/network problem latetly. This is why pool can't give miners correct data.
Zcoin dev is fixing it.

I also have this... Is this also normal? Does it take a long time to transfer? Why do i have so many unconfirmed transactions? Would this be better to exchange to Bitcoin?

It's normal.
Zcoin confirmation is quite long (about 1 day)
As soon as old credit transactions are confirmed, they are sent to exchange sites.

Zcoin network was stopped yesterday due to zcoin wallet bug.

Here you can see 60119 and 60122 blocks at bottom of page.

It took 4 hours to find 2 blocks (60120, 60121) from whole zcoin network because zcoin wallets were down due to malicious transaction.
Miningpoolhub's zcoin was also affected. 60122 block was found like 10x time delayed than expected.
This is why earning was low yesterday.

Zcoin dev is fixing this issue.

I would have to move all equihash algo server to bigger volume to support this coin.
