When you run the update your MN will go to the back of the queue. That's why the advice is to update only after your masternode has been paid:

Thnx for your reply, sadly i upgraded while I was # 60 in the queue. basicly ran masternode for approx 2 weeks without payment, first due to the ./, error and now the update Angry

No, if you don't update you will still be paid for now. Just update as soon as you'll be paid and you should be fine.
