It's possible. It is difficult to conclude with certainty from their public announcements.
I guess we'll see when mainnet blockchain is publicly available.

free money for me...with the BTG snapshot.....so conflicted....have not moved any...it should fade in price in my view

but that obviously is not happening....btc forks may be the new way to make ALT COINS...why make an ALT that hits the world

at 2c, when you can fork off BTC and it is immediately based in $$$ not micro cents....
