VAT doesn't apply to US orders, but you will need to pay a small < 1% import merchandise fee.

Does anyone know if KNC is charging us the importation costs associated with importing to the US, or will we have to fill out some form and send it to the docks so that our purchases will not be held up in transit?

You'll pay the UPS driver via check or money order for the Merchandise Processing Fee. It's .3464% - minimum of $25 and max of $485. So for a Saturn for example, it'll cost you the minimum - $25. As far as forms go, it's up to the shipper to make sure that the forms are correct and the item doesn't get held up in customs.
