In an example: imagine i want to end up with 1btc onsite + 24 offsite. Total investment 25 btc. Fee should be a bit less than 2.5 btc (because i should get back a tiny part of the fee). How should i proceed, and how are onsite and offsite fees going to be charged in this case?

You've got the right idea: Dilution fees are charged on the entire investment (onsite change plus offsite change), so to invest Ƀ 25 the fee would be (slightly less than) Ƀ 2.5. In your example the onsite investment wouldn't be able to cover that, so you'd either have to invest more onsite or reduce your offsite investment.

By the way: Moving coins from offsite to onsite and vice versa is free, so you can always increase or decrease your onsite to offsite ratio later on.
