You are absolutely right. It is foolish to blame Bitcoin for the crimes. If Bitcoin was not there, then the criminals might have used some other form of anonymous payment. And if I am not wrong, Bitcoin is rapidly losing its value among the criminals. Now they are preferring completely anonymous currencies such as Zcash and Monero over Bitcoin.
