I had my BTCs on GDAX and were stolen and the transaction was unauthorized by me which is obvious they were hacked.

Unfortunately, there is no way you are getting it back and if anyone is promising you that, just be sure they are out to scam you of the one you have left. The only way you are getting it back is if the site decide to own up and be responsible for their inefficiencies and decides to compensate you for your loss, there is hardly anything you can do about it no matter how you try.

But the confusing part which I am yet to phantom is why would you keep such an amount on another person's platform even in the real world, rich people don't keep majority of their funds in the bank rather they invest it in assets in their name which makes it more secure. And bitcoin has made this more cheaper and easier for you to do. Just by downloading a wallet where you have the private key and you are safe but people still fall for this despite the abundance of this warning every where.

First thing,Iam just 8 months old for Crypto and with the minimal knowledge I had I purchased Ethers and then moved to BTCS two weeks back and was trading,I didnt have vast knowledge of storing them on a hard wallet.I came to know lot of things after talking to technical wise ppl like you on this forum but it was too late by then as I joined the community after loosing the BTCs just to get info if its recovereable I was here in the forum but Iam clear its irreversible and simultaneously a great loss for me.

I was just growing with the minimal coins I had but a huge damage done by the scamsters.DARN ! And the worst thing they are still royally posting their numbers as support and robbing people.

8 months is already long and if you did able to visit this forum then most likely you would really able to avoid on getting hacked because informations or users advices would really be helpful.Storing huge amounts one exchange isn't really advisable and isn't ideal to leave it there for long. In your case someone do have your password and for sure you did able to forget to set 2fa which make the hacker have no sweat on stealing those nasty 4 btc of your account. Sorry for your loss mate and this would really be a lesson for you.

Well. Whats done is done already which we cant really turn back the time and regrets do always comes on last. For now better to move on and do forget on what happen and make learning on those mistake. As you have pm'ed me I would say theres 0% that you would able to take it back those amounts even GDAX wont really help you out since you are on full responsibility of your account.If its hacked by someone then its cause of your negligence.

Regrets cannot be wiped away but yeah time would heal it so.Was not a small amount so couldnt over come immediately !!
