I've seen this as well. I think it had a lot to do with the sweepstakes the exchange had, where the top 30 traders would be rewarded Iphones. Seems to me a lot of people instantly bought their own sell-orders, to finish in the top 30.

Without having done the math properly, I think it was probably worth paying the exchange fees wich is fairly low (especially if you hold a certain amount of KCS).

unfortunately i believe kucoin itself is doing this to increase volume of their exchange.
