It is better to stop gambling before you get addicted to it because once you get hooked on gambling, it would be difficult to break it. You might even end up losing your money, family, friends and even your properties. Gambling is a bad habit because it can make people greedy and even forget about their responsibilities.

I think it would be better to moderate gambling before we get addicted, but if it is very difficult for us to do it, then probably we should stop it. It is better to avoid the things that might get us in trouble then putting ourselves on it and try to control the outcome. As they said, prevention is better than cure, so it is better to avoid it than suffer the consequences of getting hooked or addicted if we have some control problem.
