No. The price will then subsequently rise by the expected amount of the next dividend over the course of the week (at a pace that reaches equilibrium with the markets discount rate for the security).

With a 0.017 per share dividend, we're talking about a drop from, say, BTC3.417 to BTC3.400. That's a pretty small drop to try measuring.

Sure, but dividend value could drive changes in growth expectations... I mean, an un-informed investor just see a drop in dividends during last weeks. Informations regarding hardware sells are spread and dispersed around the forum..

When the price hit 2.5 it brought out a fair amount of sellers. This hasn't happened since.

This is either because they are waiting a little longer to see where it lands, or they know something we don't, or they don't wanna lose their board seat, or there aren't many heavy holders left because they sold too early.
