How you got your profit? After risking your hard earned money you earned some profit that means that profit also your money. So whether you play with profit money or your money both are same as per me. As long as you set some limits for gambling funds should be fine. Once I get some profit I will withdraw and invest that money in some other place and again I play with my fixed amount next time.

Yep, planning and limitations are key to be somewhat successful with gambling. Everyones definition of successful differs though and a $1k profit for you may be nothing to someone else. There's a fine line and if you can manage it together with your emotions you should be good. But as it always is with gambling.. there are no sure things.

Indeed limiting ones gambling bankroll and having a clear cut plan towards gambling is the best way to ensure success with it. Many have emotional problems because they lack control of themselves and that can also influence your gambling life in the negative sense because you will tend to make decisions that are not well thought out but are emotionally motivated based on the current happenings in your gambling expedition that is why i agree with you on the emotional control aspect also.
