I think it is better to have job and trading together as one may get salary from his job monthly for his needs regularly. One can generate more resources for himself by investing his savings in the trading as such he will be able to get extra profit from the market.

Time management is very important as you will have to give time to your job and trading. Sometime it is harder to get profit from trading on monthly basis, so it will be easy to have job in such situation.
