What about the extra posts in the 2 weeks timeframe, will they be added to the next period?

Didn't understand very well the question but from what I understood :
You don't lose activity unless you didn't post in that period. So for example a brand new member have to wait 3 periods in order to be a junior member : 14 + 14 + at least 2 posts from the 14 activities. So in total at the end of the third period he will have 42 activities (of course he need 42 posts or more). Then this junior member will start from 42 activity and will add 14 activities each period until he reaches 60 activities to become a member.
