I built my rig using 3 gb cards.

Would be interesting to know the performance difference between 3gb and 6gb.

I did read that people say you need the 6gb soon because of the size of Ethereums DAG file.

You have less than a year for DAG to kill off 3GB cards, DAG is not expected to hit 3GB until 29th Nov 2018, imo your 3GB card will pay form themselves and leave u some profit until that time. plus you will be able to mine something else, so no biggie
