Have I had any issues with Bittrex that I can remember?: No, not even a single downtime. All of my trade positions have been executed on time, and all of my sells have been executed on time too, so no issues there.

My verification status: I completed the highest level of verification as soon as I opened my account.

regarding the massive account suspensions I am reading here, I can only come up with a few possible hypothesis:

#1: Since Bittrex is a USA trading platform properly licensed in the USA even with a valid New York BitLicense, they could, COULD have been pressured by the administration to tapper off customers from certain countries most likely to harbor te__o-ist (sorry didn't dare spell that word fully, dont want to risk grabbing the attention of some 3 letter agency). Now, I know that CHANCES ARE that none of you are those types of people, that you may in fact be honest hard working people, but the matter of the fact is that you chose do to business with a USA based company while you are located in a country the USA deems to be hostile (maybe not ALL of you are located on countries deemed hostile). If I am right, then prepare to spend even more time trying to get your cryptos back, thats if you manage to succeed somewhat.

#2: Your computer is somewhat compromised, viruses/trojans/etc---you name it! Well here's the problem, a hacker might have tried to access your account, Bittrex might have noticed that your account was being tried to access from one or more IP address, IP addresses that could even be from a foreign country in relation to your location. Bittrex' servers is used to seeing, for example, you from, lets say, SYRIA, logging into your account each and every time from your computer from a specific static IP address, or dynamic IP address that is largely the same except /24 part ending that can range anywhere between x.x.x.2 to x.x.x.254 and NOW all of a sudden some dude from russia/indonesia, etc is trying or successfully logged into your account, and this triggered some traps in Bittrex's servers to suspend your account in order to protect your funds, thats IF that trigger happened just on time to avoid the hacker from stealing/withdrawing your funds.

#3: You dont have 2FA enabled. Yes I know, you fully trust on your computer technical abilities in keeping anything that can keylog and steal passwords from ever EVER making it into your computers, but exchanges, Bittrex included these days are petrified at customers that dont enable 2FA on their account for the added protection. You managed to accumulate a level of funds that possibly triggered Bittrex's servers to automatically freeze your account pending you enabling 2FA and now you are waiting for support to actually re-enable your account.

#4: Its simple a KYC/AML issue. You have completed Level 1 or the very basic level of verification and now have alot of money/too much funds on your account. Yes I know, no where in Bittrex TOS (well I haven't checked so I can't be 100% sure of this) will you find any line that tells you that after X amount of funds your level 1 basic verified account will get suspended and will have to complete the enhanced verification. Its one of those "gotchas" that most of these exchanges fail to disclose up front when you first sign up and resolve to only operating in the basic verification level.

#5: You simply got PAID by your customer. I know that the simplest act of getting PAID by your customer is not sufficient grounds to get your account frozen or even administratively suspended, but the fact of the matter is that your customer most likely PAID you with tainted bitcoins, bitcoins that were possibly STOLEN. Yes, STOLEN, and you decided to use your bitcoin address from your exchange account to get paid. Now, I dont know ALL the scenarios that would get a BTC "tainted", but I do know that stolen bitcoins are "Tainted", bitcoins coming from mt. Gox's stolen BTC stash, for sure those have to be tainted and there are a truck load of those BTC's in circulation. I am NOT sure if BTC's coming from casino's [winnings] are tainted, since the USA is not really a fan of those "casinos" chances are that those BTC's could be tainted. Since you dont have control over what type of funds your customers use and that really represents a liability to you when running your business and getting paid in BTC, I would advice doing the following: Never NEVER use your exchange's wallet to directly get PAID by your customer, instead run your own Bitcoin-qt windows/man client and get paid directly to the wallet you personally have control of, and then you can take protective measures from that point on (Monero?, etc).

#6: You used proxy servers, such as VPN proxy servers to access your bittrex account, most likely because you hare configured a router with the DD-WRT, Open WRT, Tomato or any other open source firmware and setup the proxy VPN directly into your router for privacy reasons. Now as a consequence everything you do in your home network behind your router gets routed to your anatomizing VPN proxy server, that means that all of your desktop computers, laptops smartphone connected to your "WiFi", even your grand mother's laptop's traffic all goes thru that specific VPN proxy server. So naturally when you are at home and decide to login to your bittrex account, they would be seeing your proxy server IP address as your origin, but here's the problem: You told them you are from, lets say Syria, but you are connecting from, lets say Netherlands because that was the proxy server you picked because you happen to torrent alot and torrenting from Netherlands means you wont be getting letters from your ISP complaining of copyright infringement, but at the same time you would be getting your Bittrex account suspended because they see that you are connecting from a foreign country than the one you said you are from AND are using a known proxy server IP range which means they are probably asking" what this person is hiding, could he be making a country where we can't do business? Let us disable this account and then we will deal with the moaning customer later on [think: many months later --- due to over loaded support agents]". If this was the cause of you getting the account disabled, then I propose a simple fix for you: Have two routers in your house, one with nothing configured, and the other setup with your VPN proxy connected to your primary router, both transmitting a different SSID Wireless network, you have computers connected to WiFi#1 where the proxy is really not needed, including the computer you use to connect to Bittrex trading account, and then you connect to WiFi #2 when you have to download that must have movie, etc.... through the proxy server. I say have a dedicated computer for trading purposes always connected directly to your home network without going thru any proxies.

#7: This one is very obvious: You are from some jurisdiction where Bittrex doesn't serve, and for some reasons that only you know, you decided that one way or the other you are going to use Bittrex - ANYWAY! Because you are boss! Cool

. You setup a VPN proxy server that is located, lets say in the USA, Canada or some 1st world countries, then you open up a Bittrex account with a fake name and you lie about your current location. You complete level 1/basic verification since all that is required is for you to say what's your name and the country you live. All goes well until you reach a higher level of cryptos you store there and BOOM! Your account is now frozen pending you complete a higher level of verification. But since you CAN'T complete a higher level of verification your account would remain frozen perpetually -- UNTIL the day that the funds stored there become literally worth millions (of USD $ dollars), enough to actually bother to legally emigrate to the country you said you were from, then legally change your name to match that one you gave Bittrex (good luck if you didn't invented a sensible name when you first created your Bittrex account, because from now on, you are going to be legally known as that individual with the most weirdest name ever -- but who care? What matters is that now you are going to be able to rescue your millions - at last! Right?! ) and then finally perform a higher level of verification, then ______ and finally PROFIT!

#8: You connect to the internet from the same network that shares the public IP address (Using someone else's WIFI, a large residential building where the landlord provides internet included with the rent but everyone uses the same public IP address connected behind one router) from someone who did something bad at Bittrex, and now you, by "association" gets your account suspended too. THIS will cost you alot in terms of time, resources, and thinking power to get yourself out of. You will have to explain and even prove to Bittrex that you have nothing to do with that other individual, that you dont know him, is not a family member or even a friend of yours, that you simply had no idea what was going on. Remember, SOME of you are already from a country that is not that friendly with the USA, this WILL, most certainly, influence on the "quality" of the support you can get, but its still possible with luck and prayer (to whatever deity you happen to believe in) to get your situation finally sorted out.

#9: Bittrex's automated algorithm specially targeted for foreign customers is acting up and is over freezing accounts. bittrex, just like any other exchange is currently overloaded with customers and customer support requests for all kinds of questions and they can't simply get to you in a timely matter. Just look as Kraken - a month for a new customer to get their account verified. These last months has created an unexpected influx of customers and that might be a contributing issue why they can't get to you in a timely matter to fix your situation.

Your reasons for getting your account deactivated is possibly covered by one (or more) of my above nine hypothesis. Whatever the reason may be, I with you good luck at getting your account sorted.
