For me it's a big yes bitcoins is totally defeated gold right now and in the future bitcoin will surely be remain as the best cryptocurrency among the rest, bitcoin price is has greater chance to rise or increases its value unlik on gold, and eventhough that bitcoin is not tangible but the value of it is very nice compare to gold.

Long back itself gold has been defeated in terms of value. It happened almost the by the same time period last year surpassing the value of single ounce of gold. Now the price has reached much higher in value, but the reputation as gold hasn't been gained yet. If that is possible bitcoin will rule the world.
