Nitpicking aside, but it is increasing 1 percentage point, not a measly percent. For example, going from 4% to 5% would be more like (5-4)/4*100=25% increase.

It definitely will. Coins are saved on the blockchain, not in your wallet, either paper or otherwise. Your software wallet is only a tool for creating and signing transactions with your private key. You just need to sign up your address for the airdrop. Don't forget to do that!
