I bought some alts on Bittrex using BTC, since the Alts i bought are valued in BTC, it seems that the estimated amount of money on my account just goes down as BTC value drops, this while the ALTS are going up. That's the risk of trading since Bitcoin and altcoin's price are too fluctuate. You need choose which side will going higher then convert to that.
If you believe your altcoin going up soon then no need to take a rush to sell just hold it until got your capital back and some profit
