This is not a very clever assessment. Shitcoins get pumped & dumped again and again. Bancor has its protocol preventing these things to be done easily, so there is less speculation on Bancor. This means Bancor's prices will rise slower, but steadier and for a good reason and when they'll do 10X they will probably never go back down.

BNT is traded on several exchanges, every coin which is traded on exchanges can be pumped and dumped. It's all about ask/bid and demand. But I share your opinion that this coin is a good long-term investment and that's the reason why I invested in this coin.

Well, it's true about many exchanges, but it is harder to change price of BNT since you can always arbitrage it using Bancor Network to buy/sell with automated price discovery system. So it's not like any other altcoin out there, targeted by pump and dump groups.

That means BNT has to be backed by something, for example reserve tokens, but there has to be huge volume BNT <--> reserve tokens when big money tries to pump (and later dump). Maybe I am totally wrong but that's the way I see it.

Doesn't BNT have an ETH reserve with a reserve ratio of 20%?

This article explains a lot, but I am still wondering what increases the value of BNT. Is it just a matter of ask/bid on exchanges or will the Bancor token exchanging network determine the BT price...
