to be honest I never tried the paper wallet option for Dimecoin but it is usually the same for all cryptocurrencies, please try that:

1. open your Dimecoin GUI wallet
2. wait until blocks synchronization finish, to speed it up you can download bootstrap.dat, link: https://mega.nz/#!5nB1yYzb!DDRQAY8e5jOboZ23qgQ1OtKUlYFx82xEkmoipRMVkTU

You can also manually add nodes to speed up the process
3. go to "Help" >> "Debug" into your gui wallet app
4. use command:

importprivkey Your_Private_Key_Here

Your app will start importing process with rescan blocks, after that your wallet should be ready
