Yeah, that is the official reason for taxes, but depending on the country, you may have from very little to absolute no influence on how those taxes are spend. I am particularly angry at corruption and is one of the main reasons why I hate taxes.

We have to embrace taxes, what is wrong with that? It is not that tax itself that creates our country poor, it is the government that managing the country, so basically we need taxes for us to sustain our country and of course to help those who are really in need for them to have a good job to feed their family.
