hello, holding emerald for a while on cryptopia.

decided to fire up wallet to move coins to it.

i went here https://www.emeraldcrypto.de/ and downloaded the latest windows wallet (0.8.7.600)
next i downloaded bootstrap (14.1.2018) and placed it in appdata-roaming-emerald.
restarted wallet and it began importing blocks.
took a while but was catching up.
it got to 9th of december last night, now it has got to dec 13th 2017 (taken 8 hours for 4 days) and is moving so slow it cant catch up/will take weeks?
console says 57 connections?

any help would be greatly appreciated.
