I read in the whitepaper the clarification that this is a utility token and not a currency, security, financial instrument, etc.

Given that, can you clarify the KYC requirements? More specifically, are American citizens eligible to participate?

KYC form will appear a bit later in your personal account on the AdHive platform, KYC procedure can be done during the tokensale + 2 weeks after Phase1 end and will include ID and address verification.
As for US, only officially accredited investors are allowed to participate.
