Welcome to the community! The difference between a taddress and a zaddress is:
- taddresses are public addresses. They are anonymous but not private. This means people can see what transactions the taddress sends and receives in the explorer. When you mine, you have to mine to a taddress.
- zaddresses are private addresses. You can send coins from a taddress to a zaddress and back. People can't see what coins go into, move between or move out of zaddresses because they are truly private.

As I mentioned before, you always mine to a taddress -- never a zaddress.

-taddress is public address though anonymous. You mine here. You synchronize taddress to blockchain. But..

-zaddress is exception. It is private. You send from taddress to zaddress.
