MLM - Multi Level Marketing is a way to increase traffic/user count on your website if done in a right way. We are only running the affiliate marketing till level 5 and no further. Hence, this is a pyramid structure till 5 levels only. It would have become a ponzi scheme if total number of levels are infinite.
