What are the differences between parliamentary and presidential forms of government?

The two major difference of the Parliamentary and Presidential form of government is that in the Parliamentary form the head of the state is chosen from the legislative body and usually called him Prime Minister, while in the Presidential form the head of the state is chosen directly by the people through an election like in the US and Philippines and called him President. Another thing is in the parliamentary government the passing of laws are fast and efficient since the executive and legislative is unified. However, in the presidential, the passing of laws will take time especially if majority of the legislative body is from other political party of that of the president. Finger pointing is common in a presidential form when the government is facing crisis because of political issues.
