Yes in deed, i agree with you, there is no reason why somebody should fell safe in Ukraine. I am not from Ukraine but they don't have happy news.Regarding to the kidnapping i have found a link for those interested:

There are also crimes in Great Britain and Canada associated with bitcoin... It does not show the real order of things.

How is the climate in Kiev? What is the less cold city in Ukraine? I don't like much cold weather...
