I don't think so that bitcoin will be called alt coin soon because from the first place bitcoin is the first digital currency in the world and all alt coins are depending on it. Bitcoin is the most important and popular crypto currency, therefore there is no way that it can be called as alt coin due to its unique and independent features. Altcoins are using bitcoin as their model to improve their features and qualities.
