I don't think so that bitcoin will be called alt coin soon because from the first place bitcoin is the first digital currency in the world and all alt coins are depending on it. I totally agree! Altcoins are being converted into bitcoin when you trade it. So how would it be possible for bitcoin to become an altcoin when in the very first place, all altcoins are depending on bitcoin. Bitcoin will still be the most powerful crypto currency among others.
