All the chatting in the world won't build up your rank now, rank advancement is now mostly based on merit. Without it you could make 10,000 posts and still be low level. It was done so hopefully people would be more inclined to make quality posts, the spammers will never advance in rank now.

You sure its not based on both, you cant expect to be searching for those that would merit your posts, or this forum would be gone too soon, if peoples ranks cant increase because you have to wait for someone to merit your post. A lot of airdrops mostly the referral airdrops are out of bitcoin talk, even bounty systems, so they might need to reconsider that method.
