In my own opinion, participating on a signature campaign is the best thing to do because most of the ico's today are successful because of the merit system. Another thing is that, high ranked accounts has the advantage to get more profit because the participants will decrease on a campaign due to the merit system implementation.

Well you are right but the amount you earn in signature campaign would not make you rich.
You need to be more aggressive in order to grow your money, maybe you can use your reward to invest and you can be successful
if you are smart enough in managing that reward, some would hold their bounty, so depending on your strategy actually.
