for the username i.e. wallet address I assume you use a litecoin wallet address (although on the pool it says that you need a valid BTC address)?

It depends on the currency you set in your password. My password now is c=LTC,quark=1,qubit=1,myr-gr=1,skein=0.5. So because I have c=LTC I am using an LTC wallet address as my username. If c=BTC then you would need to use a Bitcoin wallet address for your username.
