The profits of miners ASSEMBLED by the DIY community (not even by yifu!!) was never going to be huge. Still, it would've been some nice little pocket money - sadly I also brought other people in with me to join in on this excitement - as it would be our first "real" mining unit, an asic, previously only obtainable by the rich and the connected, unique and first of its kind made by the people for the people. Don't tell me it was never going to be huge. The reason that there were a million chips on order was greed, plain and simple.

That doesn't excuse Yifu - he should have limited the number of orders, if he didn't have the volume worked out with TSMC - but it WAS greed.

And how many Avalon batch 1, 2 or 3 do you operate, may I ask? It was the only way for miners to stay current without
even greater upfront money. DIY projects allowed the average Joe to continue to be a miner without having to pay extortionist
prices to Asicminer, or buy total vaporware from BFL. So please, just shut up about the "greedy miners" already - if anybody
earned the right to be accused of greed, it is definitely not the small miners. Or are you a shill for YIFU?
