If KuCoin is ordered to hault transactions immediately by government order, what's the worth of the coin. I just don't see it. Also these rewards for holding coins seem very ponsi-esque to me since I don't see a utility other than holding them to get free money. I'm a skeptic, not trying to trash KCS.

A good point, it is only a matter of time before crypto currencies and exchanges are regulated and the outcome is anyone's guess, there will be a safe haven somewhere and the top exchanges will register when the day comes.
As for the worth of the Coin/share its simply only worth what the next person willing pay for it. There are people out there who bought BTC for $20k only to find the next person didn't see the value in it, they have either got out with a small loss (perhaps profit) or are sitting on a coin worth about 50% less value.
