because is by far the best reward ratio of any coin. yesterday was around .50 BTC/day with 1 meg. Now is around .25/day per meg. Once you release the new client and the porno industry starts accepting it the hash will be higher then LTC

Yet we seem to have an uphill battle getting it on exchanges....

by the way, all exchanges without exception stink, all are hacks of people that has never traded in stocks in their life. They all go black (hint hint - experience or frequent visitors to hacker sites), they provide no trading tools like trading indicators, no ticker tape, and so on. I have really thought in developing an exchange the way it is supposed to be and I might if I can't find a job soon.
