Long term is holding indefinitely, until a opportunity comes to sell.
But there's a big problem with that. You see, holding indefinitely is like losing everything. Why? Because one never really cashes the thing out and enjoys it! And your statement involves a contradiction, since 'indefinitely' doesn't have sell opportunity. Oh, and what to consider the right time to sell? You said it's the next bitcoin pump. What if it comes in a month? That won't be a long-term investment at all. And what kind of pump is considered to be sufficient? Is it btc at the price of $25k, $50k, $100k or even more? That's why I think that it's best to decide in advance the desired price and sell the coin when it reaches it without caring about its further ups or downs. The limit has to be set on price as well as the maximum time of holding, because burying your funds with you is a useless thing to do.
