My work has allowed me to help raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (the MDA Shamrock Drive) by setting up a wallet to receive Bitcoin donations. I believe this will not only help the children, but also help spread more positive sentiment for Bitcoin (countering all the negative news such as Bill Gates' recent comments). I think that you will have hard time convincing the members here to make a donation. If you want ti help those children, better make a NGO for this and then ask for donation in the bank account of that NGO. This will also give the benefit to the donators that they can claim tax deductions on the donated amount. Otherwise, you can contribute on your own to already existing NGOs for this purpose.
